Kawasaki Ninja H2

This bike is insane with over 300hp and a theoretical top speed of 250-260 mph! It looks a little more tame in this workshop. Lit with a combination of styles including the Wescott 47 Zeppelin, Godox Stirpboxes, bare Canon Speedlite flash and multiple exposures. A cheap smoke machine was used to get the slight haze in the background.

Harris's Sparrow

Here in Edmonton Canada the Harris's Sparrow can only be found for few weeks during the fall as it passes through the area during its migration southward. Some years it can be very difficult to find.
The site where I took this photograph was strongly backlit with the sun just above the tree tops which wonderfully illuminates the translucent beak of the bird.. This is one of my personal favorites.

Sunset light-painting

Yesterday's sunset was so beautiful. We had the flashlight, so we did a few light-painting pictures. With Kim Henry, of course :)

Oceans Blue

Ocean's Blue was shot at the Wedge in Newport Beach CA. This is one of my favorite places to shoot because of the dramatic way that the waves break. This is a really shallow break that is known for its powerful waves. Every year there is lots of carnage from the many beach goers that under estimate the potential danger. This was shot with the Canon 5Dsr 50 megapixel camera. This camera is amazing.

The Pleiades from the deserts of Arizona

this image was taken from the picket post trailhead outside of Phoenix, AZ. this image was taken using an 80mm refractor and a canon t3i mounted on a mount that compensates for the rotation of the earth. This image is a stack of 17 - 10 minute exposure images for a total time of 2 hours and 50 minutes
